Clear Destination — Third-Party Fulfillment Provider

ClearDestination was founded based on an experience that most people can relate to: a late home delivery. Slated for 11 a.m., Christian Lafrance’s item didn’t arrive until 4:30 p.m., forcing him to cancel an important business meeting that afternoon. “I decided,” he recalls, “that nobody else should have to wait at home all day for deliveries ever again.” And ClearDestination was born in 2006. Today, many challenges impact retailers, manufacturers, and transportation companies when making home deliveries. Traffic, weather, high-rise buildings, a shortage of delivery people, bad-quality service, complexity in the assembly and installation of goods of different size sand weights are the biggest hurdles to punctual deliveries. They also tarnish the reputation of retailers and carriers alike. The industry involves multiple players and endures from huge inefficiencies due to a lack of coordination and visibility. ClearDestination has developed cutting-edge solutions that combine operational research algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and location-based technologies to automatically plan the entire delivery process—from the first to the mid to the last mile. Specializing in big and bulky items, ClearDestination’s technology is multimodal and can support the movement of any type of goods. The company saves stakeholders across the entire delivery value chain both time and money, thanks to a delivery solutions that are predictable, transparent, and efficient.
