Sprocket Express — Third-Party Fulfillment Provider

Sprocket Express was founded in 2005 by Dan Cence, a former Information Technology and Supply Chain executive with Polaroid Corporation. Dan saw the need to support technical innovators from Harvard and MIT with an ecommerce/distribution platform to help them commercialize their start-ups. In 2006, Bob Murray joined the company. Bob’s deep background in manufacturing management helped Sprocket Express adopt lean manufacturing principles in its distribution operations. As the company grew, it caught the attention of offshore companies who needed fulfillment support in the U.S., as well as U.S. companies that decided to outsource their fulfillment to specialists. We operate out of a 40,000 sq. foot former jewelry manufacturing building in Plainville, Massachusetts near the intersections of US routes 1, 95 and 495.
